Inventory Maintenance form is used to
maintain product information. One of the most integral parts of the software.
Definitions of controls on the form:
Product ID (check box) Unique identifier for a product.
Active (text box) Determines if the product is currently active.
Web Active (check box) Determines if the product can be displayed on the web.
Product Name (text box) Name of the product.
UPC Code (text box) UPC or (Universal Product Code) is used to uniquely identify the product.
Category (select box) Is the category that best fits the product.
Prod. Cost (text box) Purchase or Manufacturing cost of the product.
MSRP (text box) Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price
Last Prod. Price (text box) Last sale price of product. A very useful figure especially for creating future catalogs. Helps eliminate price variations between catalogs.
Status (text box) Current status of the product.
On Hand (text box) Current units on hand.
Manufacturer (select box) Product manufacturer.
Featured Product (check box) Determines if the product is featured in a catalog or the web.
Art Source (text box) Image name for easy reference to the art source.
First Use Cycle (text box) First catalog where the product has been used.
First Use Date (text box) First use date of the product.
Release Date (text box) Date that the product is being released for sale.
Last Use Cycle (text box) Cycle name that the product has last been used in.
Last Use Date (text box) The date of the catalog that the product has last appeared in.
Dist End Date (text box) Sale cutoff date of the product.
Weight (text box) Packaged product weight.
Length (text box) Package length.
Height (text box) Package height.
Width (text box) Package width.
Product Source (text box) Source of the product.
Filler 1 (text box) Filler flag for extra information storage.
Filler 2 (text box) Filler flag for extra information storage.
Filler 3 (text box) Filler flag for extra information storage.
Comments (text box) Comments to be used to communicate information internally about the product.
Save (button) Used to save new or edited information.
Cancel (button) Cancels the selected action and clears the form values.
Delete (button) Deletes currently selected product.
Export Results To File (button) Used to export all information within a grid to an excel file.
Search Active Products ONLY (option) Limits the search to active products only as determined by active or web active flags
Search ALL Products (option) No limitation on products pool.
Inventory (grid) Used to display information on products. Also is used to search for existing inventory; simply double-click on a column to search the inventory warehouse for that value.
